I have read more series of fantasy novels than I care to admit to over the past 25 years, and this series is hands down one of the best out there. It is set in a similar world to LOTR with humans, elves, dwarfs, halflings (hobbits), with wizards and rangers, assassins and barbarians, and the whole genre of DND fantasy. The writing style is engrossing and draws you in deeper and deeper. I found myself up many a night well past bedtime, because I wanted to read just one more chapter.
