All My Holy Mountain (The Binding of the Blade, Book 5) Review...but had a fairly strong conclusion.
Mr. Graham has room for improvement here, and this last novel in a long series evidences this. After a hundred pages, that first battle got a little dry, and the dialogue was slightly monotonous, along with a few other things I could mention. The characters and the world felt modern, which clashed with the obviously fantastical setting, and the 'dread captain of the Nolthanim' title irritated me through it's overuse--as well as the contraction he'd. To clear away these nuisances can sometimes be a chore, and though the idea was wonderful, I find the execution of it slightly lacking. Even so, the ending was strong and left me longing for the restoration as much as the next person, and I think that despite it's other problems this book is decent at the least. The series had a great beginning, a middle that felt rather drawn out, but the final closing chapters saved this one for me, and I don't regret reading it.All My Holy Mountain (The Binding of the Blade, Book 5) OverviewThe tide has turned for Kirthanin.
