The interesting storyline is extremely original, The characters are very detailed and have unique personalities, and, above all, the mood isn't so dark and forboding (despite the picture on the cover). If you already play the game and you like to use blue(island) or white(plains), you have to read this book because the spells used and the "good guys" resemble these cards. For those of you who don't play the game and just want a good fantasy novel to read, you also have to read this book. There are a lot of interesting combat spells used.
