It is wonderful to see the many approaches taken by some of these legendary teachers. The teachers represent themselves with humor and wit, and offer insightful and compassionate glimpses into their own pedagogies as well as the world of professional singing.
Most of the teachers in this book are Master Teachers who have had many students go on to international performing careers. Among them are some legends of the teaching field, including Helen Hodam, Shirlee Emmons and Richard Miller. Some have published on their own, including Emmons and Miller, and most of them are still active teachers, either in the University setting, or of professional singers.
