Mirror in a Blade ReviewBlade Gallagher's life turns upside-down after he loses his job and catches his wife in bed with her secret lover all in the same day. Unsure of how to continue from there, he spends time connecting with his family in hopes of rediscovering his zest for life. At the same time, his only brother Michael
continues to live life to the tune of his own drummer which sadly involves those closest to him.
On a whim, Blade decides to move to a rural village in Scotland. Immediately strange coincidences and events begin to occur which he first treats as just being an outsider. When local townspeople begin disappearing and are later found to be dead, the fingers and stares are all pointed to him. It is only with time that he realizes that the truth is much more hidden. In the process he finds everything his heart desires and so much more in the shape of the beautifully wild Neri. As the drama increases and the race to find the killer intensifies, Blade begins to realize those things most important to him.
While this story was initial difficult to capture my attention, it did become more captivating with continued reading. The characters grew on me to which at the end I was cheering at the surprise ending. The plot was delightfully entertaining and all in all, a book that I would definitely recommend for a brief escape from reality.
